Whether it be premiers, tv appearances, or seen out in public doing their own thing, celebrities have the opportunity to make a statement with their wardrobe. Whether or not they should be made into fashion icons is not the question here. These people have been given the spotlight so why not use it to make a name for yourself through fashion as well as whatever else you are known for.
