When I get to the mall, I don't always have a plan. This year, I wasn't really looking for anything in particular. I already knew everything I wanted for myself and how much it was going to cost. So when I had some time to actually look for myself in stores today, my family gave me crazy looks over the things I considered pretty.
Yes, I have expensive taste. No, I do not have bad taste. I know what looks good and what is in style. My family, on the other hand, does not understand most of the time (especially this season). It is going to be even harder to explain to them why I want a career in the fashion world . . .
So, here is the short Christmas list I had made this year before going shopping:
My aunt always told me the older I get, the less things I will have on my list and the more expensive they will be. She was right there. And they are smaller too . . . At least these are things of which I would get a lot of use.
And who knows, maybe my family will understand my style and my Christmas list will consist of 'crazier' (statement) pieces someday. Maybe. Just maybe . . .
